Wood Dragon (甲辰): The Great Tree in Spring Rain

The picture

甲 is yang wood: the great tree, straight and upright, the one that becomes a beam. 辰 is the Dragon branch, the third month of the saju year, roughly early April to early May, when spring rain soaks the fields. Its hidden stems are 戊 earth (the main one), 乙 wood and 癸 water. For a 甲 day stem, that means 偏財 Indirect Wealth underfoot, a 劫財 Rob Wealth vine twined around the roots, and 正印 Direct Resource moisture held in the ground. Wood controls earth, so this is a tree that governs its soil, shares it, and drinks from it.
