1. What this is
The service offers readings based on Korean saju, a Four Pillars tradition shared across East Asia. Horan, the host, is a fictional character.
Readings are for entertainment and self-reflection only. They are not medical, psychological, legal, financial or other professional advice, and they do not predict events. Please don’t base decisions about your health, money, legal matters, relationships or safety on them. If you need help, talk to a qualified professional.
2. How readings are made (AI disclosure)
Your chart (pillars, elements, the 2027 month-by-month calendar facts and similar) is calculated in code from the birth details you enter, using the method published on the site.
The chapter text is generated by AI (Claude, by Anthropic) in Horan’s voice, following rules we wrote. No person reviews it before you see it. AI-written text can be wrong, inconsistent or unexpected. It describes tendencies, not facts about you.
3. Who can buy
You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live, if higher) to buy a reading. Enter only your own birth details, or someone else’s with their permission.
4. Purchase and delivery
- Product: “The Reading You Came to Avoid”, a seven-chapter digital reading that includes “Your 2027, month by month”.
- Price: $29 (US dollars) or ¥4,400 (Japanese yen, tax included). The amount shown at checkout is final. Where sales tax or VAT applies, it is shown at checkout before you pay.
- It is a one-time payment. There is no subscription and nothing renews.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number.
- Writing starts on our servers as soon as your payment clears. The chapters are written one after another, usually all within 15 minutes, whether or not your reading page is open. Each chapter appears on your private reading page as soon as it is written. When writing finishes, we email you the link (if we have your email address).
5. Access to your reading
Your reading lives at a private, hard-to-guess link. Anyone who has the link can read it, so keep it safe and share it only on purpose. If you give us an email address, we also send you the link.
The reading stays available until you delete it, or until 365 days after purchase, whichever comes first (see the Privacy Policy). To keep it longer, print it or save it as a PDF.
6. Refunds
Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy. At checkout, every buyer asks us to start delivery immediately and acknowledges that there are no returns or cancellations once it begins. If you are in the EU or UK, this also means you lose your right of withdrawal once delivery begins.
7. Ownership and license
The service, the Horan character, the artwork, the site text and, to the extent we hold rights in it, the reading text belong to us or our licensors.
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to read, save, print and quote your own reading for non-commercial purposes. Sharing short quotes and share cards is welcome. Please don’t resell readings, republish them in bulk, or use them to train AI models or build a competing service.
8. Things you agree not to do
- Enter someone else’s birth details without their permission.
- Scrape the service or access or buy through automated means.
- Interfere with the service’s security or operation, or use it for fraud.
- Use the service for anything unlawful.
9. Changes to the service
We may change or discontinue parts of the service. If we stop the service before a reading you paid for has been generated, we refund it in full.
10. Disclaimer
To the extent the law allows, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any particular result, accuracy or fitness for a purpose. Nothing in these terms limits consumer rights you have under the law where you live.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for decisions you make based on a reading. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the reading the claim relates to.
This does not limit liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for our intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer in the EU, UK, Japan or elsewhere.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be heard by the state and federal courts located in New Castle County, Delaware.
If you are a consumer in the EU, UK, Japan or another country with mandatory consumer protection, you keep that protection and may bring a claim in your local courts.
If something goes wrong, please contact us first. We will try in good faith to resolve it within 30 days.
13. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will post the new version here with a new date. Changes do not affect purchases already made.
