1. Full refunds
We refund the full price if you contact us within 7 days of purchase and one of these applies:
- The reading failed to generate: one or more chapters could not be written, even after retrying.
- Calculation error: for the birth details you entered, the pillars shown don’t match what the method published on our site produces. A pillar left blank because no birth time was given, which you accept at checkout, is not a calculation error.
- Duplicate charge: you were charged more than once for the same reading.
2. Everything else
Because the reading is delivered right away, we don’t usually refund because an interpretation didn’t resonate or you changed your mind. Write to us within 7 days anyway and we will look at it case by case. The same goes if you entered the wrong birth details.
3. Customers in the EU and UK
Digital content normally comes with a 14-day right of withdrawal. At checkout, every buyer asks us to start delivery immediately, and EU and UK buyers acknowledge that this ends that right once delivery begins. If an order ever lacks that recorded consent, you can withdraw for any reason within 14 days of purchase.
Your statutory rights if the content is faulty or not as described are not affected.
4. Customers in Japan
The cooling-off system does not apply to online sales. Returns and cancellations follow this policy and our Japan commercial disclosure.
5. How to ask
Email support@horansaju.com with:
- the email address you used at checkout, or your reading link, and
- a sentence on what went wrong.
Please don’t put your birth details in the email. We can look up the order on our side.
6. How refunds are paid
Refunds go back to your original payment method through Stripe and usually appear within 5 to 10 business days of approval. The link to a refunded reading may stop working.
Before filing a chargeback with your bank, please contact us. It is usually faster.

Addendum: Ask Horan refunds
- We refund automatically (no need to ask) when our system detects a generation failure, timeout, cut-off answer, question mismatch or AI refusal of a note that passed Kachi’s check, and we cannot deliver the answer. Payments over the limits and duplicate charges are also automatically refunded. If a delivered answer does not address your question, write to support@horansaju.com so we can review it.
- If only some notes of a three-note order fail, we refund $4 (¥600) per failed note; if all three fail, the whole payment.
- There are no prepaid credits, so there is never a balance to refund.
- No refunds for change of mind; we look at goodwill requests within 7 days case by case. Your statutory rights are not affected.
- If the note included with your Red-Pen File (no charge) cannot be answered, write to us and we will make it right, including a refund of the file if you prefer.
The 2027 Season File
No change-of-mind cancellation once delivery starts. Contact us within 7 days of payment for a full refund for generation failure, a calculation error under our published method, or duplicate billing. If an outage leaves the file unfinished beyond 7 days, the full-refund promise remains available until completion. Statutory rights are unaffected.
The Pair File
The ordinary refund policy also covers the Pair File. Non-delivery beyond 7 days, a calculation error or a duplicate charge qualifies for a full refund. Writing starts immediately after payment. Change-of-mind cancellation generally ends when delivery starts. We do not guarantee that an interpretation will resonate or promise a relationship outcome.
Gifts
One private Korean saju story: 7 AI-written episodes, a keepsake PDF and one included Ask Horan note. The recipient enters their own birthday.
Unopened gifts are refunded automatically after 180 days. You can cancel an unopened gift earlier. After opening, the usual 7-day refund policy starts from the recipient’s checkout. Refunds go to the buyer.
A gift costs US$29 for English or ¥4,400 (tax included) for Japanese, once with no renewal. Recipients must also be adults 18+ and accept the reading terms and AI disclosure. Reading delivery begins at the recipient’s $0 checkout and is usually ready within 15 minutes. If the reading remains unfinished after 7 days, the refund offer remains available.
